In line with IS 999:2004 and The Private Security Services Act 2004, Manguard Plus security personnel undergo a nationally recognised formal training course, conducted by FETAC qualified instructors.
Each candidate must complete a written examination on completion of the course which examines theoretical and practical aspects of the Security Industry.
On completion of the course, successful candidates are awarded a certificate of competency by The Security Institute of Ireland.
The principals of Manguard Plus, recognise that differing security situations and requirements, call for security personnel with differing natural skills and personal attributes.
Prior to induction and site training, great emphasis is placed on selecting security personnel who are compatible with your business requirements. Following induction to your site, security personnel receive "onsite training" in order to absorb the duty procedures, that have been tailored to your specific security requirements.
Although traditional methods of recruitment are employed by Manguard Plus, the majority of applicants are personally recommended by existing Manguard Plus employees.
Prior to permanent engagement by the company, each applicant’s history is thoroughly screened for a full 10 year period (or from school leaving age for younger candidates). This history must include all aspects of employment, unemployment, self-employment etc. for a full “unbroken” 10 year period. Employment and character references are stringently investigated in order to establish each applicant’s suitability to join the Manguard Plus Team.
