Kildare’s Manguard Plus has copper fastened its’ position as Ireland’s leading security company, winning the ‘Outstanding Contract Guarding Security Company’ for the second year in a row.
The company, founded 27 years ago, employs some 1,200 people, and once again won the majority of awards at the second OSPA’s (Outstanding Security Performance Awards) to be held in Ireland.
Its’ continuous ethos of training staff and working towards professionalising the entire Irish security industry was recognised, with the company winning the coveted ‘Outstanding Security Training Award’ for its initiative with the International Foundation of Protection Officers.
Its’ Commercial Manager, Garry Bergin won the Lifetime Achievement Award, following on the heels of Manguard Plus Managing Director, Sean Hall, who took the inaugural title last year.
Speaking after the event, Sean Hall praised the staff at the company, which has offices throughout the island of Ireland, and numbers some of the biggest global and local companies on its client list.
“This is a true honour for Manguard Plus and I’m extremely proud on behalf of all of us who have worked so hard to make the company what it is. It genuinely is a team effort and recognition of the staff here, who give over and above, always. They have worked tirelessly to ensure that Manguard Plus is now the leading provider of professional security services, maintaining and growing a blue chip client base. I have enormous respect for them and for our clients, many of whom have been with us since the beginning. It’s no exaggeration to say that Manguard Plus is a family; I’d like to pay tribute to my own family, my parents and brothers and sisters as well as extended family members who have supported me from day one and who continue to work alongside me, and the wider Manguard Plus ‘family ‘ who have remained so loyal to us”.
