A quick-witted member of our staff who recently came to the aid of a member of the public experiencing a suspected heart attack, was praised for her swift reaction at a presentation to acknowledge her response.
Kamilla Rafalska-Jananaikloo was on duty at ‘One Molesworth Street’ and spotted a man who appeared to be in some discomfort with his health. She rushed to his aid and potentially averted a more serious incident.
Mark Brock, General Manager of ‘One Molesworth Street’ praised the actions of Kamilla saying she displayed all the professionalism and humanity that are the hallmarks of our Manguard Plus personnel.
“Kamila noticed on Camera a gentleman that appeared to be in some difficulty. This man was holding his chest and appeared to be breathless and really struggling. Without hesitation Kamila went to check if the man was alright and unfortunately, he was having pains in his chest and his left arm which is a sign of cardiac issues. Kamila got the man a chair, radioed me to call an ambulance and asked me to come and assist with an AED. The Ambulance arrived quite quickly, and the Ambulance crew confirmed it appeared as though this man was suffering a heart attack.
“I think it’s worth noting that Dawson Lane is outside our remit and this man was just a member of the public. Had Kamila not noticed this on camera I’m sure the outcome would have been different for the gentleman, and I think you will agree this goes above and beyond the line of duty but also shows a real human element to the work that is done here by the Kamila and the team”.
Manguard Plus Contract Manager Joe Farrell said
“The real strength of Manguard Plus is our staff. Kamilla is yet another example of a colleague who went far and beyond the call of duty that day. As our client pointed out the area where the man took ill is outside of our remit, but that was not important to Kamilla who just saw another human being ill and needing help. She is a credit to herself and to our company”.
