Our overall aim is to make Manguard Plus a low-carbon organisation dedicated to promoting a sustainable and healthy environment for our staff, our clients and the surrounding community.

Our clients expect and deserve a partner who operates in an environmentally responsible way at all levels. We encourage the highest levels of awareness and understanding of environmental issues and work closely with our clients when selecting methods of working and use of materials to provide you with the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions.

We are committed to having a real and lasting impact on the environment around us and work on continuously improving our performance in a number of areas.

We endeavor to reduce our carbon footprint through the increased use of renewable energy sources and the purchasing of energy-efficient equipment.

Ongoing staff training, awareness and initiatives are vital to reducing our carbon footprint. We conduct environmental impact assessments of our client sites to ensure that every step is taken to reduce energy consumption and cut costs.

We use only low emissions vehicles as part of our fleet and have introduced a number of other metrics to determine and reduce the impact of our fleet on the environment.

Manguard Plus maintains a policy of “minimum waste”, which seeks to reduce the volume of waste generated and to increase the amount of waste recycled. We have incorporated the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – into every aspect of our business.

We prioritise working with suppliers who are registered with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Register Society Ltd so that we can be sure that any goods we purchase are managed in an environmentally sound manner at the end of life.

As part of our sustainability strategy, we are committed to reducing our annual water consumption levels through the implementation of staff awareness workshops, undertaking of water consumption audits and installation of water-saving technology across both our organisation and our clients’ businesses. We also work with clients to introduce water-saving devices, such as low volume cisterns.

We aim to grow and develop our business in a manner that responsibly manages our economic, social and environmental impacts. We are dedicated to using local resources including labour, suppliers and services.
